Hogwarts Legacy is an ambitious, action-adventure, open world RPG that tries to give every player the experience of becoming a student at Hogwarts School for Witchcraft in order to saving the world from an ancient evil. Avalanche software has tried to do too much all at once, but they have done a good job broadly. The cut scenes that players get at certain points in the story, which are well-rendered and scripted to provide a way for a player to participates in the lessons & learn spells. It’s interesting that the game does not establish which rules of The Wizarding world are in place, players have opportunities to master the dark arts, that there is no curfew at Hogwarts, but in the storyline there are some limitations of using them. Feels like the game has stuck to some parts of the world in the universe and has ignored other parts purposely. It’s not clear the consequences if the player uses a killing curse on somebody.
To level up, the player must pass tests in the school. Game consists with learning 26 spells during the walkthrough and three of them are unforgivable and that there is no real consequence for using any of them. Spells will heavily helpful during combats. Flow of the combat is the most well executed part in the game. The combat spaces are packed with enemies and it is fun to perform different spells against different enemies. Hogwarts Legacy is an inclusive and diverse game that reflects the community that has built around Harry Potter in the last 25 years. It is also free to transmog any clothes that you have, even if they are destroyed or sold. However, the open world is bloated through entire the game, the challenges are messy and cumbersome, and the story lacks narrative depth. Despite these facts the developers in Avalanche have done a great job by recreating the most iconic locations in the Harry Potter story is fantastic. By playing this game most players experiencing the combination over 25 years of Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts in one game.

Avalanche software development team careful enough to include everything that the player could ever dream of without putting things off for too long. Always the atmosphere pushes player as a student at Hogwarts and learning the next year’s curriculum such as learning spells, taming beasts and exploring the Forbidden Forest for ingredients to make potions. Game strategy evolves by setting the player character to learn the stuff they missed in the four years prior and opportunity to use them in challenging environment. The game also features a dark plot, and the protagonist is thrown into a dark plot, but the game manages to capture the magic of being thrown into the world and being forced to navigate around it. Player task is completing lessons to unlock assignments and one-on-one lessons with professors and explore to figure it out the things themselves that need to be done during the process. The player who has high sense of discovery will enjoy endlessly. One fond moment is when the protagonist is tasked to go shopping for items in Hogsmeade and has to walk there with a friend they made in class.
Hogwarts Legacy consist with full of magical moments, one of them is exploring and soaring through the air on a broom. It is also filled with various characters, such as students, residents, enemies and main characters. The game also features gear equipment wizard with stat boosts across damage and defense, traits, Buffs and effects gear, and almost every spell that player learned was usable in a combat situations.
Hogwarts Legacy is a challenging RPG game with a heavy emphasis on RPG mechanics. It’s compulsory for players to manage their spells and potions, sell their gear, and plant Chinese chomping cabbage to take with them on errands. It also allows players to craft wizard into a specific build, convert spells into curses, focus on stealth and be an all-around deadly plant and potion badass. The realism in game is fantastic & it’s direct factor to increase hype of the fans. As an example the changing of the seasons with the progress of walkthrough gives different look and feel across the entire game. Through the game it teaches defense against Darkness and requires players to set up and pay attention to the intense combat around them. As a finale thought, it’s hard to find a single fault in this game and each and every perspective this game is remarkable. This game is an amazing approach to take a tour of Hogwarts.
